Clothing that Empowers Lives.

Project Ropa is a Los Angeles based nonprofit and certified social enterprise on a mission to reduce waste and restore dignity to those in need by providing clothing and hygiene essentials.

About us

Project Ropa is a Los Angeles-based nonprofit and certified social enterprise with a dual mission: to reduce textile waste and restore dignity to those experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty by providing clothing and hygiene essentials.

Operating from a certified green warehouse, we collect, sort, and repurpose new and gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories—redistributing them, along with hygiene essentials, directly to those in need through our mobile services and community partners. By turning discarded garments into opportunities for hope and healing, we not only minimize environmental impact but also uplift lives across underserved communities in Los Angeles.

We believe that clothing is a basic human need and should be recognized as essential. That’s why we advocate for policy change at both the local and state level to ensure equitable access to clean clothing for all. Through strategic partnerships and the dedication of our volunteers, we’re building a more just and sustainable future—where compassion meets circularity, and where people and the planet are cared for equally.
