Dear Supporters, As we step into spring, we want to take a moment to express our deep gratitude for your unwavering support. Thanks to you, we continue to make a meaningful impact by reducing textile waste, restoring dignity, and empowering lives through the provision of clothing and hygiene essentials to those in need. Continuing Support for Fire-Affected Communities In the wake of devastating fires, we have remained committed to helping those affected. With your generosity, we have provided essential items, including clothing, shoes, hygiene kits, feminine products, toilet paper, water, and accessories, to individuals and families working to rebuild their lives. Your kindness and support have made a tangible difference in these difficult times. Grateful for Our Funding Partners We are deeply grateful for the generosity of our community and the ongoing support of these foundations, which help us continue our mission: The William C. Bannerman Foundation for their $5,000 grant The Robert Nelson Foundation for their $10,000 grant People-People-People Foundation for their generous $50,000 contribution Your continued support ensures that we can keep serving those in need and expanding our reach. Additionally, we are grateful to Modern Woodman for matching up to $2,500 in donations received this month. MAKE A DONATION Clothing is Essential–Help Us Advocate for Change Clothing is vital for individuals experiencing homelessness—it provides protection, boosts self-esteem, and supports personal health. Yet, it is not classified as an essential service by the government, meaning basic needs organizations like ours do not qualify for significant funding, limiting access to necessary clothing for those in need. Why This Matters: Many homeless individuals struggle to access clothing essentials. We have a waitlist of 85 organizations across 100+ locations in Los Angeles requesting clothing support. Many of these organizations receive government funding that we do not qualify for.We need your help! Sign our petition to advocate for clothing to be recognized as a critical resource in homelessness support. Together, we can ensure those in need have access to this basic necessity. Clothing is a human right. Help make it official. Sign our petition HERE. Join Us at Melrose Trading Post! Looking for unique fashion finds that also support a great cause?
